Overview
The new Silvertown Tunnel was developed to reduce congestion at the Blackwall Tunnel and deliver faster and more reliable journeys from Silvertown to the Greenwich Peninsula in East London. The new 1.4km road tunnel has dedicated bus lanes and improves the public transport links with more cross-river bus services and an improve cycle route, therefore improving air quality and providing greener commuting routes for the highly congested area
Scope
Working on behalf of Yunex Traffic, we supported the installation of Yunex Traffic technology by wiring the main SWA cabling for the feeder pillars, which supplied all traffic signals, barriers and CCTV, providing full traffic management and control directly linked to London’s UTC (Urban Traffic Control) System.
